Cooperations

Science for Democracy cooperates with the following initiatives

The interdisciplinary research platform “GAIN – Gender: Ambivalent In_Visibilities” at the University of Vienna is an association of gender researchers at the University of Vienna. The research platform examines complex processes of intersectional gendered invisibilities. It illuminates these from different perspectives and focuses in particular on the ambivalence associated with processes that create such invisibilities. Although visibility is a prerequisite for political perception, it is not synonymous with political power. External visibility can even have a disempowering effect and reinforce inequalities. GAIN analyzes how invisibilities are linked to intersectional power relations and resistance to them.
